Andrew New is an artist originally from San Antonio, Texas, now living in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He had always dreamed of creating art pieces, working with various mediums like acrylics, rhinestones and fabrics. He began creating “Americana”-inspired art, namely American flag paintings and collages made from newspaper clippings. And he believes music has always been a great way for bringing people together. So when he picked up an old guitar and fashioned it as an American flag, his idea for using all kinds of musical instruments as art was inspired. From drums to violins, trumpets to ukuleles, his instruments serve as canvases to create classic, fun and inspirational pieces, melding art with music.
